Faces of Hope

Many of you know my personal story of how I lost a child to Leukemia in 2005.  My son, John Reid was truly an inspiration to me and the reason behind starting my business.  I wanted to be able to give parents captured memories of their children, which I hold so dear. I have enjoyed every minute of my work with your children and families and am so thankful for your support.  My dream when starting this business was to be able to provide my services for free to families who have children with cancer.  I know how important it is to hold onto every moment you have with your children, especially when they are battling a life threatening illness. I am hosting an event called Faces of Hope where I will be able to do just that.  Children’s Chance and Palmetto Health Richland are helping me to make this dream a reality!

The Faces of Hope Photo Shoot will target families who have a child with cancer or a child in remission from cancer to have professional photos taken of their child and their family. These photos will be given to the families free with your help. Each family will receive a photo album of 10 photos plus a CD of all of the photos so they can make additional copies.

Children’s Chance is non-profit organization that helps families who have a child with cancer, with non-medical financial needs including assistance with rent or mortgage, electric bills, car payments, gas cards, food vouchers, and more. I have enclosed some additional information about Children’s Chance.

All donations for this event are tax-deductible. If you would like to support this event, please send your donation to Children’s Chance, Attn: Samantha Higgins, 609 Sims Avenue, Columbia, SC 29205. You can also log online at and donate for this event. Be sure to include "Faces of Hope" in the comment box if you wish for the funds to go to this program. If you wish to make a general donation, Children's Chance will decide where it is needed most.

Any donation, no matter how small, will help enrich the lives of these children and their families. Thank you in advance for your help, I wouldn't be where I am today without you all.
